White Station High School (Memphis, TN)—English Teacher and Volleyball Coach (September 2010-Present)

-Hired as English II (traditional and Honors) and III teacher.

-Acts as the permanent educator and disciplinarian for the students.

-Creates lesson plans, worked with other department teachers, and spoke to students’ parents on a frequent basis to comply with Common Core and State Performance Indicators.

-Utilizes PowerTeacher to complete the grade book and maintain students’ and parents’ awareness of progress in the classroom.

-Creates matrices to be submitted to the state in accordance with honor’s class requirements.

-Acquired four TSSAA District 16 AAA undefeated championships, five consecutive Region 8AAA appearances, two current NCAA Division collegiate athletes, a current AVCA Phenom Athlete, membership in the AVCA, and numerous Memphis Area “Best of Preps” athletes while tenured in the head coaching position.

-Covered events such as the LPGA, Buffalo Bills Training Camp, the first of the Toronto Series, the Buffalo Bills versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, Olympic Silver Medalist Jenn Stuczynski’s send off to China, and the University of New York at Buffalo’s Basketball Camp

-Utilized the computer program Merlin to insert still images into the news broadcasts and Coyote to write numerous stories
